Netflix Mexican series no.1: House of flowers, la casa de las flores

Mexican Netflix series La Casa de las FloresWhen a corpse threatens to shatter a family. This corpse is that of Roberta, the mistress of Enesto De la Mora, patriarch, of course, of the De la Mora family, a wealthy family of florists who seem perfect in every way.

Before putting the noose around her neck, and this in the family shop, Roberta left a letter for Virginia, Ernesto’s wife. A letter that reveals the first secret of a long series of other secrets that will be revealed about this family who will have no choice but to lift the veils of appearances.

Why did we like this Mexican series? Because it shows that secrets and taboos only bog us down further and that the truth will always shine in the end. (Watch on Netflix)

Netflix Mexican series no.2: Club of Crows

Mexican Series, Netflix, Club de CuervosIf you are a soccer fan, this series will please you, because it tells the story of the fictional soccer club The Cuervos, which is in the midst of an identity crisis following the death of their owner: Salvador Iglesias. In a culture where men dominate, Salvador’s son, Chava, was elected as the new president of the club, even though it was said that his sister Isabel had more of the skills to lead it.

As Chava’s decision-making failures multiply and affect the relations between the members of the team, Isabel promises herself to do everything in her power to take over the presidency of her late father’s club.

Why did we like this Mexican series? Because it dismantles the stereotype of male leaders and shows that being a leader does not come with a gender, but it comes with skills that both women and men can possess. The series also demonstrates, on a smaller scale, the negative impacts of deficient leadership on a group. (Watch on Netflix)

Netflix Mexican series no.3: Luis Miguel, the series

Mexican Netflix Series Luis MiguelThis autobiographical series tells the story of singer Luis Miguel, also known as El sol de México (the sun of Mexico), who is nothing less than an icon in Latin America. The series chronicles his exceptional musical journey, largely attributed to his father, Luis Rey, who gave up his own musical career to devote himself to that of his son.

It may seem like a beautiful story at first glance, but, unfortunately, the story is not as rosy as it seems. Struggling with financial problems, Luis Rey saw his son’s talent as the solution to all his problems. Luis Rey then imposed an almost terror regime so that his son would reach the top.

Why did we like this Mexican series about Luis Miguel? She made us understand the other side of the scene of an adored singer in addition to making us realize the nonsense of wanting to live your dream life through that of another person for whom this life is not so much dreamed. Netflix Mexican series no.4: Diableros

Mexican Netflix series DiableroAlthough a popular sun destination, Mexico is also a destination for lovers of esotericism and religion. Having populated the ancestral lands of Mexico, the Aztecs and their polytheistic religion still arouse everyone’s curiosity today. The Diableros series is not a series about the Aztecs, but it will take you on a journey to the dark world of fallen souls.

Based on the book by Mexican writer Francisco Haghenbeck entitled El Diablo me obligó, the Diableros series tells the story of a young priest, Father Ramiro Ventura, who calls on a demon hunter and a paranormal expert to search for a girl kidnapped in the underworld of Mexico City.

Why did we like this Mexican series? Perhaps, because it reminds us of the dark side of the Aztec religion which, although it believed in several gods, also believed in several demons that it kept away at the cost of human sacrifices. (Watch on Netflix)
